60 AMP Mercury Contactors from MDI

MDI 60 AMP Mercury Contactors for Industry from Anderson-Bolds

BUY MDI Mercury Contactors HERE

Description
MERCURY TO METAL CONTACTOR
The mercury relays (mercury contactors) load terminals are isolated from each other by the glass in the hermetic seal. "The plunger assembly", which includes the ceramic insulator, the magnetic sleeve and related parts, floats on the mercury pool. When the coil is powered causing a magnetic field, the plunger assembly is pulled down into the mercury pool which is in turn displaced and moved up to make contact with the electrode, closing the circuit between the top and bottom load terminal, which is connected to the stainless steel can.
To make the unit function as a "Hybrid" time delay, we add a solid state circuit to the coil to delay the power to the coil.
For constant duty applications, a return spring is used in place of the buffer spring.
Contact the factory.
The MDI 60 amp contractors come in 1,2,3 and 4 pole versions and coil voltages can be 6, 12,24,48, 120 volts DC and 24, 120, 240, 277, 480 and 600 volts AC. Normally open contractors are the most common, close on energization. Normally closed are also available. Resistive loads are the more common type of loads but the "H" designated contactors are for inductive loads (with inrush currents).

MDI 35 Amp Mercury Contactors

Anderson-Bolds stocks MDI ( Mercury Displacement Industries ) Mercury Contactors / Relays.

Mercury Displacement Relays / Contactors are ideally suited for use with electric heaters or any other rapid switching application. We also carry the H Series for Inductive Loads. (See Other Blog) The below contactors are for 35 amp loads, single or three phase resistive loads. Part number with a -18 are the same as the below. The -18 was an option for a metal strap in lieu of plastic. The plastic is no longer available so all units are in a sense the -18 units.

Gavazzi PA Through Beam Sensors

Carlo Gavazzi offers a large range of photoelectric sensors which are used extensively on packaging machinery, automatic door systems, factory automation, and in car washes. Our sensors are available in diffuse reflective, background suppression, reto-reflective, polarized, through beam, clear object detection, and colour recognition.

We also offer a range of fiber-optic type sensors for applications where a conventional sensor cannot be used (space restrictions, temperature, atmosphere).

Carlo Gavazzi and Anderson-Bolds bring you a new simple Photo Electric sensor design.  The Carlo Gavazzi Radial design is new to the industry.  This is the Carlo Gavazzi PA series Photo Eye or Photo Electric Sensor / switch.

The Carlo Gavazzi PA18C.T... is part of a family of inexpensive general purpose through beam sensors in industrial standard 18 mm cylindrical ABS housing. The sensors are useful in applications where high- accuracy detection as well as small size is required.

The Compact housing and high power LED work well for an excellent performance-size ratio. The potentiometer used for adjustment of the sensitivity makes the sensors highly flexible. The output type is PNP or NPN and the output switching function is NC and NO.
