Cleveland, Ohio (May 20, 2019) – Sure-Foot Industries, a leader in anti-slip products including tapes, aluminum/rubber stair treads, and fiberglass grit-coated step covers announced Deck Strips as the newest addition to their line of anti-slip products.

Deck strips are an innovative offering designed to cover individual wooden boards on decks, walkways, docks, piers and steps. Their versatility makes them perfect for both commercial and residential applications.

“We saw a need for our fiberglass products in the consumer market,” said Chris Kaskey, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sure-Foot Industries. “Our products have always succeeded in commercial and industrial settings where we use our commercial heavy-duty grit blends, however those surfaces aren’t suitable for use at home.”   

Deck strips will bring Sure-Foot’s slip prevention products to the residential market. Typical applications include areas around deck steps, pools and other surfaces where moisture can increase risk of an accident. Less aggressive than commercial fiberglass products, deck strips have a proprietary grit blend that is suitable for outdoor leisure and barefoot traffic.   

The product is available in standard width sizes of 2″ or 4″ and up to 144 inches in length. Deck strips will also come in a variety of colors to meet homeowner’s needs including Brown, Gray, White, Tan, Yellow, Black and Pool Blue.   

“We wanted to come up with a product that was pleasant to look at but still provided a durable anti-slip surface,” said Kaskey. “It was important that deck strips had a pleasing aesthetic look for residential consumers because they offer a simple solution for slippery areas around the home.”
