Anderson-Bolds and Meltric present the DSN series of deContactor. Safety First.

Detailed spec for MELTRIC DECONTACTOR Series Switch Rated Plugs & Receptacles

Note to specifying engineer: In order to specify Meltric DECONTACTOR Series plugs and receptacles, include one or all of the items below in your job specification. The items in bold are exclusive to Meltric Decontactors and thus should be included in the specification wherever practical to avoid substitution of pin and sleeve or twist type devices.

WATLOW RM Multi-Zone CONTROLLERS

Integrated Multi-Function Controllers

EZ-ZONE® RM

The EZ-ZONE® RM controller simplifies thermal system management. The EZ-ZONE RM integrated controller family is comprised of six module types: an integrated on-off or PID control, monitoring and over/under temperature limit controller module, a high-density on-off or PID control module, a high-density limit-only module, an input/output (I/O) expansion module, a high-density monitor/scanner module and a data logging and field communications access module. A system is configured by connecting any combination of module types to address specific application needs. The EZ-ZONE RM is extremely flexible and scalable allowing mixing and matching of I/O to configure 1 to 152 control loops and up to 256 monitor points.

Multiple inputs; from 1 to 152 PID loops of control or monitor up to 256 analog inputs:

  • Mix and match I/O to fit any application; from 1 input with 2 outputs to 152 analog inputs with 152 outputs, or monitor up to as many as 256 analog inputs all in one system
  • Reduce cost because only required loops are purchased
  • Allows a common controller platform across many design applications as both loops and outputs can be ordered in single increments

Advanced PID control algorithm:

  • Offers TRU-TUNE®+ adaptive control to provide tighter control for demanding applications
  • Enables auto-tune for fast, efficient start-up

Communication capabilities:
Provides a range of protocol options including universal serial bus (USB) device port, Modbus® RTU, EtherNet/IP™, Modbus® TCP, DeviceNet™ and PROFIBUS DP

USB Port:
Provides data log retrieval

SPLIT-RAIL control:

  • Enables modules mounted in separate high-voltage and low-voltage cabinets to function as an integrated system
  • Minimizes the length and cost of wire runs and improves system reliability by locating inputs closer to sensors and outputs closer to load

AUTO CLONE:
Reduces time and configuration complexity by automatically building a new module with the same parameter settings as the replaced module

SENSOR GUARD:
Prevents unplanned process shutdowns and product loss by switching to a backup sensor if the primary sensor fails

Additional Key Functions
Configuration communication port (standard bus)
Removable modules and connectors
Ring lug and front-screw terminal options
Profile ramp soak with 400 total steps
Retransmit and remote set point input virtually inside controller eliminating costs for input/output hardware
User configuration settings can be stored and recalled
Thermistor input
Elevated operating range of 0 to 149°F (-18 to 65°C)
UL® listed, CSA, CE, RoHS, W.E.E.E. FM, SEMI F47-0200,
Class 1, Div. 2 rating on selected models

Gavazzi Photo Electric M18 switches ~ PA series

Carlo Gavazzi PA 18 Series Photo Electrics

A cost- saving solution perfectly tailored to automation applications, ensuring maximum precision in object detection.
Lainate, March 2011 – Carlo Gavazzi Automation – the international electronics Group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, launches PA18, the new range of M18 Powerful Photoelectric Sensors.
The PA18 is a new series of cost-effective sensors perfectly tailored to automation applications with a good price/performance ratio. Offered in a compact M18 threaded ABS housing, this new sensor series is a space saving solution, available in both axial (straight) and radial (90° rightangled)versions. The PA18 is fitted with a new smart, cost saving accessory which allows quick and easy wall mounting and setup from 1 to 4.5mm. Thanks to the built-in microprocessor, the new M18 powerful photoelectric sensors guarantee advanced filtering and detection, ensuring secure and flexible customized solutions. This sensor has been designed in order to avoid false detection caused by lighting or electromagnetic interference, thus reducing system maintenance while increasing application uptime. Furthermore, due to the efficient aspherical lens design, the PA18 sensors benefit from a longer sensing distance as well as high-speed detection.
These new devices are distinguished by their reliability under the harshest cleaning conditions. The PA18 range can resist water pressure up to 100 bar and cleaning agents and disinfectants, complying with the requirements set out by ECOLAB, IP67, IP69K.
“The launch of this new family of photoelectric sensors is very important for Carlo Gavazzi and allows us to stay competitive in the Material Handling, Packaging, Textile and Food & Beverage markets”, says Torben Rochat – International Product Manager. “Our intention is to offer our customers a more powerful product range and, for this reason, we have concentrated our efforts on the update of the M18 sensors.
We are confident that the PA18 series will be warmly welcomed on the market and will help us to extend our business”.
The PA18 range is developed by Carlo Gavazzi’s unit in Denmark and has a very precise and linear sensitivity adjustment which, through a manual potentiometer, allows accurate and easy setting from close distances to full range.

Gavazzi Solid State Contactors

Carlo Gavazzi is launching the REC Series 3-phase Solid State Contactors and Reversing Contactors. The REC Series is twenty times more durable than equivalent mechanical contactors and succeeds in handling high frequency switching.

The
REC Series is comprised of a 3-pole non-reversing version with three switched phases or a 3-pole non-reversing and reversing versions with two switched phases. The first solution eliminates direct connection from the power supply to motor, while the second one maintains the same performance level while providing relevant cost reduction. The REC is mechanically compatible with Carlo Gavazzi’s CGT-22 line of bimetallic overload modules, by means of a plastic adapter.

The REC Series is cUL listed as a motor starter and it’s main technical features include:
REC2 / REC3 – direct starting of 3-phase motors up to 5Hp at 480VAC
REC2R – direct starting and reversing of 3-phase motors up to 5Hp at 480VAC
Full load rating at 40°C / 104°F
Instant-on switching
Rated operational voltage up to 600VAC
AC or DC control options
Mechanical contactor resemblance with covered heat sink
Connects to CGT-22 overload module
Control status LED indication
DIN-rail or panel mounting

In addition to competitive pricing, the REC Series assures substantial savings, as it reduces system downtime and maintenance costs. The solid state contactors are provided with a 1,600 Vp blocking voltage option that enhances their surge current ratings.

REC is an electronic contactor intended to replace the tradi- tional mechanical counterpart used to switch three phase motors. The range includes 2 and 3 phase switching ver- sions up to 4kW and 600Vrms. Options with high surge cur- rent and I2t for fusing purposes are also available.

The relay switches instantaneously upon application of the control voltage to emulate mechanical relay operation. A covered heatsink resolves any issues with regards to cables running close to the heatsink and eliminates the need for protective earth cabling. The product can be mounted on DIN-rail or on a panel. Note: Specifications stated at 25°C unless specified.
